About
I received a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Seattle Pacific University, and I have practiced as a therapist for over 10 years. My experience includes working with pre-marital and married couples, behavioral issues, chemical addiction and the effects of divorce. Additionally, I have 11 years of experience as a social worker advocating for multicultural children and families impacted by substance abuse and mental health issues, within the King County Superior Court system.
I believe in allowing my clients to share of themselves and their experiences as this can be both helpful and healing. Although I am trained in various therapeutic techniques, I do not use all therapeutic models in all situations. Each individual is unique, and I believe that my approach should be as well. My hope is that you will be able to apply what’s learned in therapy to mend the relationship with yourself, and those that mean most to you in a way that promotes self-sufficiency and transformational change in your family.
As a Christian therapist, I believe in the power of faith in Jesus Christ. I welcome the integration of Christian faith and Biblical counsel in therapy as it is consistent with your beliefs. In my personal life, I believe that laughter is essential for health and happiness; I enjoy music, take great joy in my faith; and love spending time with my husband. My desire is to work together to create lasting change and transformation in your life and in your family.
